Grown-Ups Corner

Photos are shrunk to small thumbnails and stored on this device only — they are never uploaded anywhere. Every part of this app works with no internet at all, and makes no network calls, except Watch: that plays curated videos from YouTube, so it needs a connection and it shows YouTube's ads. Tag each photo: the doll icon lets it be the doll's face in Dress-Up, the tent icon lets it ride on carnival critters.

Settings

Calm modeStops the blinking lights and the wobble, and turns the sound down. Nothing else changes.
SoundThe speaker button on the home screen does this too — a grown-up shouldn't have to come in here to silence a tablet.
Watch how they playFor the twenty-minute playtest. It counts taps that hit nothing, how long each screen held them, and every Clear/Reset — counts only, never what they drew or typed, nothing leaves this tablet, and the child sees no sign of it. Leave it off the rest of the time.
BuzzThe little vibration when something lands. It is separate from the sound now — a muted tablet is exactly when the buzz is the only thing left to feel. Calm mode still turns it off.
The TVWatch is the only part of this app that goes online — it's YouTube, so it has ads. One video plays at a time and then it stops and asks; it never rolls on by itself. Off removes the tile completely.
